Working Hours:
40 hours per week

Fabrication and Welding


  • To support the business engineering function in growing a strong and sustainable succession for production
  • Internal and external exposure to production and cross-functional team working
  • To learn and develop production processes and procedures to become a ‘knowledge worker’ that adds value
  • To  help support and grow the Production Excellence  framework
  • To build strong working relationships both internally with cross-functional teams, with some exposure to customers and clients
  • To seek to develop the best methods of dealing with electronic/electrical applications and ultimately supports business growth
  • Use of Microsoft Navision for some processing work



  • Learn the Application – Welding Techniques and settings
  • Learn the application – Safety procedures
  • Learn the application – Use of jigs etc.



To commence once fully competent with First Stage

  • Welding operator based in Steelwork line
  • Learn and apply each stage of the production process flow
  • Work with the varying cross-functional teams across the business from Warehouse, Production, Technical to Service and Installations
  • Develop knowledge to become an expert in processes used and their application



To undertake any other duties that may be requested from time to time by your manager that you are adequately trained to do.



Criteria Requirments:

Applicants must have achieved GCSE's or equivelent at grade C and above or grade 4-9 in Maths, English or Science

Good level of I.T. literacy with strength within database functionalities

Oral and written skills


Team Player

Ability to work flexibly in line with the needs of the business and across many cross-functional disciplines
