It reviews metal and alloy options for all valve components and explains the manufacturing processes; including casting, forging, heat treatment and surface coatings. Industry standards and specifications are explained, with a strong emphasis on the requirements of the oil and gas sector.
This course provides an improved understanding of material specification, selection and processing for valves in oilfield and other environments. Knowledge gained from the course will enhance discussions between customers and suppliers and gives a better understanding of the properties of materials and their influence on oiltool component design.
