The Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Competence we offer is taught at our cutting-edge AMRC Training Centre and in partnership with the triple crown accredited Sheffield University Management School.
The AMRC Training Centre provides training in practical and academic engineering. World-leading academics from Sheffield University Management School provide expertise in management and business acumen for engineers.
The programme is designed for professional development for groups and individuals within organisations.
The programme normally takes 18 months part-time, followed by an end point assessment which you will complete in 6 months.
You will be taught in 5 day block study periods at the Sheffield University Management School.

You must be ambitious and keen to expand your knowledge through rigorous discussion and learning. This programme combines rigorous academic work with your own practical experience.
You will have a first degree in a relevant subject, e.g. BEng / MEng or a BSc in a STEM subject. You will be employed in a relevant job role with a contract of a minimum of 30 hours a week, the right to abode in the UK and agreement from your employer to fund your programme, either through government co-funding or the apprenticeship levy.
