The AMRC Training Centre had heard from some employers that they had found difficulty in getting training for their staff on how to be an effective mentor. Working with those very employers, the centre put together a new course and tentatively put out some feelers to gauge demand.

Being an apprentice in engineering isnt as plain sailing as some of our new starters thought. Maths in engineering is critical. Many of our young learners have come straight from school, yet they either havent retained how it works, or in some cases never really understood in the first place.

Things are getting more exciting every day at the new AMRC Training Centre in Catcliffe, Rotherham. The purpose built facility is almost at completion and every day sees a new machine or piece of equipment delivered.
